Technique filled, slim mobile phone from Benq-Siemens
At first EF81 feels confusingly much alike Motorola' s Razr. Some people would even call it a copy. Partly it' s true, but Benq-Siemens have made an effort on the details.

It' s obvious that Benq-Siemens glanced a whole lot at the award-winning, ultra-slim clamshell phone Razr when they made EF81. But why not, probably it' s wise to learn from the rivals. The fact is that EF81 feels impressive, both in function and design.
A smooth feature is the option to reach the multimedia-functions without folding it up. I shoot photos as well as start the music player with the outside buttons, and through navigating in the menus on the small outer screen. It works well, among other things because Benq-Siemens spent a lot on a quite decent outer display, and a smart menu solution were you navigate with only four buttons.
For the those who requires extra gigabyte for music files for example, 64 Mb are built-in and a place for the memorycard Micro SD.
I have only used the 2-megapixelcamera in a rather dark environment, but it' s useful in practice though you can use it with the phone both opened and closed. It' s hard to say anything about the picture quality when looking just at the display, but though EF81 have no automatic focus the pictures won't hold the same quality as the best camera phones.
It comes with a handy desk stand and a usb-cable to connect to a PC. The stand will keep your phone ready and charged cause the charge cable can connect to the desk stand.
The choice of material put this phone in a distinguished position. For the back cover, black aluminium. The casing is made from exceedingly robust magnesium. At the front and keypad, brushed stainless steel was used. The phone appears elegante and feels robust and solid.
