The Da Vinci Code goes mobile

It is Swedish mobile game maker Synergenix that will produce the games based on the Da Vinci Code. At the movie world premiere, 19th of May 2006, the games will be released.

- The whole idea is of course to use the enormous attention created by the movie, and that millions of people have read the Da Vinci Code, Martin Forsling at Synergenix Interactive says.

There will be a Java version, but the games will also be released on other platforms. Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou and Jean Ren are only a few of the actors that will now be made everlasting heroes and heroines in the two games.

And Martin Forsling reveals that this is only the beginning of a long-term partnership with Sony.

- We will be making mobile games of movies and, above all, TV series. Sony has a huge material that is of interest for us.

And maybe it's only a question of time before popular Sony TV series like Seinfeld and The Nanny will show up as games in your mobile phone. Among Sony's movies you also find the well-dressed agent James Bond.

- The type of movies that turns in to TV series are very interesting for game making, just like ordinary TV series are, says Martin Forsling.
