Samsung P900 - mobile with tv for Europe
Samsung P900 is the name of the mobile phone Samsung hope to release just in time for the FIFA World Cup championship in football in the summer. It's a clamshell phone with a 2 megapixel camera and built-in digital tv.
The screen can be turned into a horizontal position, in that way suitable for watching tv. P900 also has a 2-megapixelcamera for digital photos and video. There's also a built-in mp3-player in P900. The mp3-player handles the formats mp3, aac and aa+.
Samsung P900 has both 128 MB built-in memory and a slot for a memorycard (Micro SD/Transflash).
The display is a 2,2-inches display, with so called qvga resolution (240 x 320 pixels). The number of colours in the screen is 262 000.
Even though Samsung P900 has a lot of features, the weight is no more than 124 g.
Samsung P900 supports the digital tv standard dmb. It's a standard that utilizes the radio spectrum for digital radio or dab-radio. In Germany, where FIFA World Cup will take place this summer, dmb and dvb-h will two parallell standards.
These two standards, dvb-h and dmb - will both work without the mobile operators. You will therefore not be charged from the operator nor being dependent by the mobile network coverage. On the contrary you may be charged by the tv-company for watching tv in your mobile phone.
