Six new phones from Sony Ericsson
Mobilmagazine are reporting live from Sony Ericssons press conference.
- W300 is a walkman phone for the mass market, said marketing manager Ola Lilja.
He said it would have the same qualitys as the more expensive music phones from Sony Ericsson.But the amount of built in memory is limited to 256 megbyte
- Clamshell is an increasingly important area, especially among young customers.
W300 is scheduled for Q2 2006
K800 is a 3G-phone with 3-megapixel camera and autofocus. It has the Sony brand Cybershot and should be a possible replacement for an ordinariy compact digital camera.
K790 is the edge-version of K800. This means it lacks 3G and instead has gsm and edge, intended for those countries where the carriers dont offfer 3G-subscriptions..
K310 is a more simple phone.
Z530 is a new clamshell phone with camera. Just as K800 it has built in support for sending pictures to a blogg at Blogger, a blogg-service owned by Google. Will be available in black with the possibility to changes the cover. Also has Sony Ericsson new system with a time based view of the pictures stored in the phone.
K510 is a thin phone for corporate users. Its not intended for images or music first hand. Instead is small, has bluetooth, support syncing with a pc, a us cable for sync is included. The phone supports push email.
All products will be available during Q2 this year, and that is a promise the will keep, says Sony Ericssons Per Alksten.
Sony Ericsson also introduced new bluetooth products, among them the headset HBP-PV705, which will be sold at a low price and bundled with K510.
