Radio in HP:s new Windows-phones

Some weeks ago Mobil ws able to show spy images of a phone in HP:s new smartphone series rw6800. Now there is information on HP:s web site about two new models in the series rw6818 and 6812.They are both triple bands phone with edge. 6812 har wifi, which 6818 does not have. Both models have i built in fm radio. That is something that no Windows-unit on the European market has today. From the information it is clear that they are smaller than HP:s previous models. The measurements are 10,2x5,8x1,95 centimeter and the weights is 140 gram. They are relative small and that means it will compete with modeks like Qtek S110 and E-ten M600.

HP has namned the new series Multimedia Messenger Series. Besides the radio it is also equipeed with two stereo speakers. They are placed on both sides of the buttons used to initiate and ends calls below the screen. The pre-installed software Philips Lifevibes is said to improve the bass and treble and provide som kind of 3d-sound. If 3d-sound is noticable is questionable if the built-in speakers are used.

The screen has qvga-resolution, which measn 240x320 pixels. It's a 2,7 inch tft screen with 262 000 colours. The camera has 2-megapixel resolution. and has a photo light. It can record video sequnces with cif-resolution (352x288 pixels)

Talktime is 5,5 hours and standby time is 280 hours. That without using the wifi och bluetooth, that both models are equipped with.
