Sony Ericssons first 3G-Walkman

W900 has the same swivel-design as W550. But according to Sony Ericsson it is easier to open the phone. It's enough with just a gentle push to make the phone swing open. But many of the phones functions can be accessible from the buttons below the display, without having to open the phone. You can answer calls and make calls to people in your phone book, read sms, control the music player and browse the web.

Compared to W550 Sony Ericsson has also improved the email client and added a real web browser (Netfront) i W900, which of course benefits from the fast umts-connection to the internet.

W900 has 470 megabyte of internal memory. With a Memory Stick PRO Duo Card it can be expanded up to 4 gigabyte. With the Disc2Phone software you can transfer music from an ordinary cd to the phone. The phone can read MP3, AAC and AAC+ files. W900 comes with a new headset that has a remote control for the mp3 player.

The camera is a 2-megapixel camera that also kan record video with 30 frames per second. The camera has a 8x digital zoom and a light for taking pictures when lighting conditions are poor. The W900 has a tft-screen with 240x320 pixel.

The new phone will sold in a black version and a white version and will be in the stores before Christmas.
